Where and how do I start?

Welcome to Pilatesology! If you are new to Pilates workouts we created this step by step guide to get you going.

These steps are outlined for the Website only.

  1. We have a lot of classes so to begin we highly recommend heading to our Beginner Quick Start Page.  You can always find this section located in the top 'Workout' tab as well as your Member Home Page
  2. Take the quick self assessment to determine which Beginner Progression is a good fit for you. 
  3. Click on one of the Beginner Progressions listed. Pilates in a Chair, the Pre-Pilates Progression or the Basic Progression.
  4.  Now that you have selected a Beginner Progression click the "Start This Program" button. 
  5. After you finish each class be sure to click the "Complete Workout" button to move to the next class. Your progress will now be showing at top and will be saved in your "My Programs" page.
  6. If you are done for the day and close Pilatesology, you can quickly come back to this exact same class by selecting "My Programs" in the "My Library" tab. Select the program form this page.
  7. We suggest that you start out doing Pilates 3 days per week. Always repeat a class you struggle with until you feel confident, or just repeat a class you enjoy!
  8. After you finish one of the 3 beginner progressions we suggest moving to the next. For example, if you started out in the Pre-Pilates Progression you should then move to the Basic Progression.
  9. Once you have completed the Beginner Progressions you are ready to explore the 2000+ classes, other programs and playlists using any number of search and filter options!

Here are some more general guidelines & tips:

  • Everytime you login you will be taken to your "Member Home Page". This page has lots of info such as:  latest classes, events, links to filters, playlists and more! Click the logo in the upper left to get back here.
  • We think diversity is key so be sure to check out all our amazing teachers!! 
  • If you enjoyed the style of the Progressions you might also like the "My Workout Plan" where you create a custom plan and can have workouts emailed or texted to you.
  • Favorite (heart icon) a class to automatically add it to your "My Favorites" page. 
  • Any class watched more than a few minutes will automatically be labeled "Watched"and saved. See all your "watched" classes in your "Classes I've Taken" page.
  • The "My Library" tab is home to all your personalizations such as favorited classes, programs you have started, playlists you have created, classes you have watched and your account page.
